Inspired by Willy Wonka caused me to get creative by bringing illustrative elements into advertisements for the Big Island Chocolate Festival. Creating sketches focused heavily on the chocolate aspect of this project conjured many ideas to hone in on the culture and Beauty of Hawaii while also bringing the chocolate factory to life. Using colors such as orange to bring a tropical feel while also balancing that with the chocolate was a fun and creative process. Using Hawaii’s national flower and also the greenery that is native to their land helped me bring out the aspect of Hawaii and think of ideas to create movement within a still piece and create a chocolate dream.
